4 Things To Check before Buying a Used Car
When it comes to buying a used vehicle there are a lot of things you should be wary about. Pioneer Credit Center wants to make sure you know what you're doing when it comes to looking for that perfect used vehicle for you!
1. Fresh Undercoating
If you see that a fresh application or spray of undercoating has just been put on the vehicle you are looking at you may want to think twice. Fresh undercoating can hide a multitude of problems with the vehicle and should make you wary.
2. Bumpers and Panels
If you look at the vehicle carefully and see that the front or rear bumpers and panels don't quite match up this could be an indication of a collision. Look very carefully at these areas for different colors of trim or paint, ripples in the bodywork or trim pieces that look newer then the surrounding ones.
3. No Road Test
If the person you are buying the vehicle from won't let you take a road test in it be very wary. If the vehicle needs to be boosted or worked on before it starts it would be a good idea to pass on it, especially if they told you it "started fine yesterday".
4. A Rush Job
Be very wary of the seller who is trying to get you to buy the vehicle right now because of a multitude of reasons. If they won't sell it to you if you don't buy it right away it's best to take caution, you shouldn't wait too long to make an offer but you should still be allowed enough time to thoroughly look at the vehicle and think about it!
These are just 4 of the many things you should check and be careful of when it comes to buying a used vehicle from a private dealer.
